Bright Colors & Bright Future for a new life π
For Pop Cycle, we wanted to explore a different side of seatbelt material. Most automotive safety belts are produced in practical tones like black, gray, beige, and earth colors designed to blend into a car interior. But hidden within the world of industrial webbing are incredibly vibrant colors originally created for visibility and safety.
Instead of letting those materials go unused, we gave them a new life.
Iris. Lime. Poppy. Aqua. Lemon. Dragon Fruit.
Each color in the Pop Cycle collection begins as repurposed safety belt webbing and is transformed by hand into something playful, bright, and expressive. At its core, it is still the same durable material that defines every HARVEYS bag, just seen through a more colorful lens.
Inside many of the bags, we are using our new HARVEYS LOOP signature kapok lining, a lightweight natural fiber sometimes called βtree silk.β Kapok is a renewable plant fiber harvested from seed pods without cutting down trees, making it a more sustainable alternative to many synthetic materials. Soft, airy, and naturally biodegradable, it felt like the perfect complement to a collection centered around giving overlooked materials a second life.
Pop Cycle is ultimately about reimagining materials that already exist and transforming them into something joyful, colorful, and built to last.
One of our favorite pieces in the collection is the Ice Pop coin purse.
Inspired by summer, it is a playful little nod that ties the whole collection together with a bit of nostalgia and fun. Small details like this are what made Pop Cycle so exciting for us to create.

Every collection has a feeling, and for Pop Cycle, it sounds like summer.
Windows down. Bright sun. Melting popsicles. Neon signs. Beach parking lots. Late night drives. Flea markets. Roller skates. County fairs.
To celebrate the collection, we also created a Pop Cycle Spotify playlist inspired by the colors, energy, and nostalgia behind the bags themselves. The mix is colorful, eclectic, energetic, and a little unexpected with surf rock, synth pop, indie classics, dreamy summer tracks, and road trip favorites all woven together.
